Why Rookie Rugby?

(Rookie) Rugby is not just a game to play, but a way of teaching today's youth the skills they need to be a success both on and off the pitch.  As it is played by men and women in over 100 countries around the globe, it teaches children about cultural diversity, and exposes them to many different people and cultures.  Also, it encourages and promotes physical fitness and nutrition among children, and gives them an outlet to burn energy and exert themselves in a safe and inexpensive way.

In addition to it's physical benefits, playing (rookie) rugby also helps kids build the “soft skills” necessary to be successful in all walks of life.  A few of the skills children will build while playing Rookie Rugby include:

  • LEADERSHIP
  • PROBLEM SOLVING
  • CREATIVITY
  • CRITICAL THINKING
  • COMMUNICATION
  • COLLABORATION
  • ADAPTABILITY

And if you're still looking for a reason to play after all of these physical and mental benefits, both on and off the paddock, we've save the best one for last...

IT'S FUN!!
